Collection: Richard Friend

Richard Friend graduated with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art (Painting) from Liverpool School of Art.

Now based in Sandwich, he creates densely layered and delicate story-like paintings on paper using acrylic, ink, pastel and gouache. Influenced by the smugglers and scarecrows of his childhood, his paintings are a reflection on his preoccupation with the dark mystery of both the countryside and the seaside.

Friend’s distinctive style is like no other and hangs on walls across the UK and USA.
