The King's Buoy, 06/05/2023 Wind SW 6mph Temp 11C
I always like The Buoy project to reflect the goings on in the world around me. It is in that sense, a documentary project as much as a fine art project.
So, just as I made a Queen's Buoy on her passing, it seemed the the right thing to do to mark the coronation of King Charles III with a Buoy taken this morning, at the dawn of the day he is crowned. A new dawn, a new king.
So, I was up at 5:30 a.m. this morning and the resulting golden image as the sun rose seems incredibly lucky, and appropriate, considering the rainy forecast ahead.
The King will be crowned at 12pm, and there will be just 12 editions of The King's Buoy and it is available now. They will be sold on a first come first serve basis and please allow 3 weeks for delivery if you want it framed.
